Update on the GPS holders

So we started in 2023 with a promising partnership with a Spanish company that specialized in the innovative production of carbon drone parts. This collaboration was initially filled with excitement and optimism, as we were eager to leverage their expertise and technology to develop high-quality components for our GPS holders. However, our enthusiasm was short-lived; shortly after we completed the first prototype, the company underwent a significant change and was sold to another entity. This unforeseen development forced us to reassess our manufacturing strategy and seek out a new supplier, which took considerable time and effort.

After an extensive search, we eventually found a manufacturer located in the United Kingdom. Our initial interactions with them were positive, and we felt hopeful that this partnership would lead to a successful production line for our carbon components. However, as we moved forward and placed our orders for the second batch of parts, we began to encounter a series of challenges. Issues with the supplier became increasingly apparent, ranging from delays in delivery to inconsistencies in the quality of the products received. These complications ultimately hindered our ability to maintain a steady production flow, leading us to the difficult decision to halt production entirely. It became clear that the collaboration was not yielding the results we had anticipated, and we needed to explore other options.

The UK model

In our quest for a reliable manufacturer, we turned our attention to Germany, a country known for its engineering prowess and manufacturing capabilities. This seemed like a promising avenue, and we were on the verge of finalizing an agreement. However, during the discussions, we encountered a significant roadblock: the German manufacturer expressed concerns regarding the complexity of the parts we required. They felt that the intricacies involved in producing our components were beyond their current capabilities, which was disappointing but ultimately a necessary realization. We recognized that not every manufacturer would be equipped to handle the specific needs of our product line.

Fast forward to 2026, and we find ourselves at a new crossroads in our manufacturing journey. After years of navigating through various challenges and setbacks, we have finally established a contact who possesses the necessary skills and resources to create our molds. This new partnership offers us the opportunity to have the molds produced and shipped directly to our workshop. With this development, we are now eager to take matters into our own hands and attempt to manufacture the parts ourselves. This shift not only represents a significant turning point in our production strategy but also embodies the resilience and determination we have cultivated throughout this process. As we prepare to embark on this new venture, we are filled with a renewed sense of hope and ambition, eager to see how our efforts will unfold in the coming months.
